My name is Travis, and I am the Wombat’s Wish Website Administrator (Phew, try saying that three times fast!)

It is my great pleasure to announce that, after many months of work and a couple of sleepless nights, the new website for Wombat’s Wish is now online!

You may be saying to yourself “Hang on, it looks like the old website!”. Well, a little, because the old website looked pretty good so we didn’t see the need to re-invent the wheel. What we did do is make some changes to how the website works, and add some nifty new features. Things like:

• A dynamic website running on Wordpress, that can be updated without needing to know the tech-stuff.
• New forms for Referrals, Volunteer applications, Donations and Contacting Wombat’s Wish.
• An interactive calendar, showing all upcoming events.

And that’s not all! There’s more in the works, but for the moment we’re keeping that hush while we work on making sure the website is all that it can be.

Where: Eastern Gardens Picnic Shelter and BBQ. (Near Botanic Gardens and Adventure Playground).Melways Ref: Map 402,R4).

Parking: Available nearby.

When: Sunday 14^th February, 2010; 11.00am-3.30pm

What to bring: Any special food or drink requirements (WW will supply food and drinks), chairs, rug. Frisbees, cricket sets…etc

Why: To gather together the WW community (families, volunteers, sponsors, donors, our Patron and supporters, workers etc) for a post-Christmas group get-together. Channel 9  will be filming for a programme “True Blue”, to be screened later this year. Your permission to be filmed will be required.

RSVP: Asap or by Friday 5^th February, 2010 (at the latest please!)

Feb – Nov; on the fourth Thursday of the month. (NB not weekly as currently states). At “Albury Vale”; 5 Balcombe Road, Newtown from 5.30-7.00pm.
